I have to admit that I was very nervous last night and this morning to take this drug. A good friend of mine (who has the same surgeon/oncologist and is six months ahead of me in this process) was put on this drug and had an immediate allergic reaction resulting in a body rash that sounded horrific.
I took my first pill this morning (after ANOTHER EKG and bloodwork) and...no reaction.
HUGH size of relief. I'm not out of the woods yet, I understand that the side effects can take place weeks/months after continuous use.
So, if the drug makes it difficult for me to do my job, live a normal life, or makes me miserable I'm OUT.
