I'm on week 3 of radiation and my skin is beginning to change. I'm noticing small red bumps starting to appear. Husband thinks it's pimples from lack of personal hygiene, but I checked with the radiation nurse and yes, it's a reaction to radiation. As a pre-emptive measure I began applying 2.5% hydrocortisone cream so I'm hoping I won't start itching.
NOTHING WORSE than itching and it's the worst thing I can do to my skin which I'm supposed to "baby".
I've had painful, itchy rashes before and they are horrible! Three more weeks to go! UGH.
