The Calm Before the Storm

Do you remember that scene between Peregin Took and Gandalf looking out at Mordor from the walls of Minas Tirith?

"I wish it was over for good or ill. I am no warrior at all and dislike any thought of battle; but waiting on the edge of one that I can't escape is worst of all." Then they spoke of death and Gandalf had these encouraging words:

I feel like I'm in the "calm" before the storm. Great and momentous things are on the horizon. I'm a big bible prophecy buff and this coming September bring in the end of the 7-year Shemitah cycle, the year of Jubilee Year as well as a third Hebrew event I can't remember.

Iran, Turkey and Russia are allied for the first time in history against Israel as described in Ezekiel 38 when all three come to "take a spoil" and invade/attack Israel only to be decimated supernaturally by the God of heaven. We are the very precipice of this event as Israel prepares to take out Iran's nuclear capabilities and their relationship with Russia (who now sits on their northern border) has soured considerably.

There is talk of a world-wide food shortages, inflation is killing the economy and we have an American Administration that is wholly corrupt and feckless. It seems their goal is to actually run our country into the ground.

It all seems very dark and depressing but then I am reminded of these words:

Luke 21:28-33 - King James Version And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh. And he spake to them a parable; Behold the fig tree, and all the trees; When they now shoot forth, ye see and know of your own selves that summer is now nigh at hand. So likewise ye, when ye see these things come to pass, know ye that the kingdom of God is nigh at hand. Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass away, till all be fulfilled. Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away.

We are that generation. Time is drawing short. Are you looking up?
